The folksy older blue collar white contender is barely edged out by the charasmatic younger black man with the hot wife. A number of disgruntled golf fans will
obviously be voting for John McCain in the next U.S. Open.

HA...I watched the U.S. Open playoffs too. I would be ashamed to admit it pulled me in and made me watch too. (it was VERY close) but I was at work and Dad had
it on his computer so technically I can claim I was "Forced" to watch while I worked.

Technically I was working BY watching it, since it was being broadcast on my station...

I went to my first day of college class. The teacher said we should have read chapter one before we came to class. What? Then she should have told us before class today. So, we're all behind already as chapter two is due tomorrow. I went to my "special" office and they had input chapter one of my book into a reader. The reader enlarges the pages to whatever size I want and a voice reads the book to me as I follow along. Now this reader doesn't read everything. Anything in gray writing is ignored. There are tables and sidebars on every fucking page and the reader reads these randomly, so nothing makes any sense. It reads a number one as a seven and doesn't seem to pronounce words the same twice. If a flowery letter starts the paragragh, then it over looks it. I stared at the screen for almost two hours - after my two hour class. What a headache I have! I can't do this. So, I stole my own book back from the office while my "helper" was on a break and ran home. No one's called and I don't know what to tell them anyway. I cannot sit in their office for hours. I can't do it. I'm not a moron. I'm just pretty much blind. Back to reading with the magnifying glass. At least with it I can take breaks and be in my own home. |

Big red X to agree with those who enjoyed the US Open. I took half the day off to meet with a Rabbi and then go home and watch the playoff. I turned it on as
Rocco started making his comeback. Great stuff. I was rooting for Rocco, as he is the nicest guy. I saw him last year at the AT&T National. CB and I were
standing beside a green watching his Pro-Am group putt. He and his caddy came up to CB and said hello and talked to her a little bit. She was shy, but gave
them a big smile. Then he signed an autograph for us and went back to work. It was pretty cool.

Sliice...My roomate when I lived in Spain had a disease called Retinosa Pigmentosa, and had to read with a magnifying glass. He fashioned this thing that hung
from the ceiling over his bed out of two pieces of magnifying glass. He could lay there and read and not have to hold a magnifying glass. The only thing he had
to do was turn the pages. It was pretty cool. He also had a magnifying glass that was mounted on a stand that folded up smartly for transport to and from
class. Again, he only had to turn the pages and not hold the glass.
He smoked a lot of pot too and claimed it relaxed his eyes...maybe you should try that. |

Buff, I was in your neck of the woods the other day. I kept my eyes open for you, but you were probably at work like most normal people on a Monday afternoon.

I'm making a cake for someone's birthday, devil's food cake with buttercream icing. I was planning on topping it with strawberries and blueberries.
I have this bad feeling that fruit and buttercream does not go together. Are they going to class? Suggestions?

I love strawberries and buttercream. We almost had on our wedding cake.

I was afraid the buttercream would be too heavy a taste. I'll do that in the morning.
Thanks!@ |

I think cream cheese frosting would be good with strawberries.

I spoke to my parents on the phone yesterday. Here's what my dad said to me, "Fram, I can't figure out if there's going to be another season
of The Amazing Race."
I said, "Yeah, I haven't heard anything either." Dad responded, "Well, I've looked all over the Internet, but I can't find anything about it. Can you check into it? Even when you're in Honduras, you still know more about these things than I do." So, people of the Internet, do you know if there's going to be more TAR in our future? |

If only there was a forum dedicated to that sort of information...
(Yes, it's already filmed, and it will be on in the fall) |
