Yay Cel! We are about to go through the post-dissertation job hunt for my SO. Encouraging to hear a success story.

I got to drive a golf cart thingy at the zoo all night tonight. And I had a Walkie Talkie. I got to say, "Roger, Wilco!"

Only if he wants to share a room with an 11 year old boy who has ADHD and OCD.
God, that would be fun to watch. |

Couldn't be worse for Chris than living with his brother, could it?
Congrats Dee! |

Yay for housing! Thanks also for the hilarious image now in my head of Chris slowly going insane living with an OCD ADHD boy.

Went to a new bar trivia tonight. Trivia was great. Bar was really neat. Our last-second team name was quite good (Mark Sanford's Hiking Instructors). Then
we surprisingly won it all and got $100 off our tab. So to get it up to $100 we all took $10 shots. The taste of scotch burning down our throats was the taste
of victory!
Now we'll never do that well again |

Woohoo.
I still giggle at my favorite pub quiz names from years gone by (none ours): dead sans pants, jane austen gun club. although we did well with three for thinkin. |

My favorite from last summer was Apocryphal Mushrooms, but a close second was Polyclops - our (wrong) answer to a question the previous week about the name of
a multiple-eyed character from Greek mythology.

Ooh, I'm going to bar trivia tomorrow night for the first time. I see I have an illustrious waffle history before me.

Don't follow in my footsteps. We always kick some serious ass in the first half, then blow it completely in the second. Possibly due to overconfidence and
alcohol consumption.
The most important part, however, is to pick a cool name. We've also been "Brevity, Wit,"* "The Geeks in the Back," "Font of Useless Knowledge," and "The Deciders." *my friend Avery's Princeton application essay on the topic: "what are the two most important qualities in a person?" |

When I am done with this project, I will have a free plane ticket to anywhere Southwest flies. Here are some of my better options... thoughts?
Pacific Northwest (Seattle or PDX) Northern California Southern California New Orleans (later in the fall) Florida (see above) DC (to see my sister) New York |

I see for some reason you've omitted Birmingham, Alabama from that list.

Also, Detroit.

I also assume you've ruled out attending Michael Jackson's funeral?
