Oz, that sucks... hopefully all those issues are temporary. If you're at all mechanically inclined to self-install, AutoZone has car AM/FM/CD units
starting at about $30.

I think my CD player is on the way out. I'm considering getting one that will play my iPod. Thoughts?

There's a restroom here? I no longer have to go to yahoo! to pee anymore?
ETA: Nope, I don't see it. I must be locked out as well. Oh, I must be black too. |

Just get a stereo with an Aux In option. I have one in the stereo I bought for my car almost a decade ago and I've never had to worry about adapters or
anything to get my MP3 player to work.

From Barrens chat, minus the talk of sex with animals...
Why did the Mexican girl get pregnant? Because her teacher told her to go do an essay. |

Thanks Moo. I had to stay away for a while mostly against my will. My work computer (Win 2k, IE6, Flintstones chewable processor, slightly more RAM than a
Commodore 64) was in such crappy shape that I ordered a replacement in early October. Then LAST WEEK - a mere nine months later! - our IT folks finally got
around to installing it. The old one was virtually useless, and with the old IE it was increasingly virus-susceptible, so I didn't get online much during
the day, and since I'm rarely on from home anymore either, it was kind of a required board break.

Wow, IT folk more incompetent than the people in my department. I didn't think it was possible.

nfatb wrote:I've installed a car stereo before, so I'm not too scared to do that. Last time, I purchased through Crutchfield and their product/instructions/tech support was great. I'll probably do that again. It will end up costing me about $150, but I'm going to get a cd player that has a flash drive and Aux in. Tomorrow I'm taking the Expedition to a mechanic to get a diagnostic test performed. Service Engine Soon light is still on, and the car has a slight shudder. |

I think if you find there are problems the seller didn't disclosed that you're entitled to return it, get a refund, and get reimbursed for any expense
it cost you.
At least I think that's how it SHOULD work... |

I asked my step mother who lives in Hawai'i if she had her bomb shelter ready for tomorrow. She took offense. Is she scared of the North Koreans?
I'm off to see the fireworks. We do them a day early here. Hopefullly the idiots int he neighborhood won't blow up our house with their illegal ones while we're out. |

No one was more surprised to look up at the scoreboard and realize we were ahead than I was. I sort of vaguely watched a bit of the game, but there were two
dudes a few feet away in matching "zappos.com" t-shirts, with stupid hair (Korn-like), bad tattoos and pink cell phones bitching because they were
out of free t-shirts at the front gate, and all they had left were halter tops. We spent a lot of time mocking them.
A few feet in the other direction were some really awesome dudes who were wearing said halter tops, and having a damn fine time while they were at it. |
