Are they powered wiss buckets?
I'm marshaling at the AT&T National Pro-Am this week. I read somewhere that Cowboys QB Tony Romo is golfing with Tiger in this event. I am currently accepting donations so that I can post bail as I may have the uncontrollable urge to attempt an ACL-tearing tackle on him during his backswing. Paypal is accepted. |

Doing that instead of the regular event? I had a ton of fun at the regular event last year. The tickets sort of fell into our lap for free since no one wanted
to go on the Fourth so I don't really want to spend anything to watch this year

Save yourself the work Zum; Tony Romo is pretty much self-sabotaging.

Actually, I'll be working all day Wednesday and in the morning on Friday. If either of you make it out there, come visit me on the second hole. I'll be
the one standing next to George Bush's brother Marvin.

I've got a horrible, sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I just got home with my car purchase, and I already regret it. The reason I got another
vehicle, is because I needed something reliable. I'm not sure that's what I got.
I test drove the vehicle before buying. It seemed to drive fine. I didn't notice any mechanical problems. There were a couple more exterior blemishes than the seller had told me about, but I still thought I was getting a good deal. I drove 90 minutes to pick the car up. The Expedition seemed to drive fine until I got about halfway home, and then the Service Engine Soon light started blinking, and it blinked off an on for the rest of the drive home. I noticed before the light started blinking, the car would begin to decelerate and lose speed and begin to shimmy. Another concern -- after stopping at a stop sign, as I began to accelerate again, the car began sputtering and seemed to nearly die on me. I was also under the impression that the cd player was in working order, but I tried to put a cd in it when I got home, and it wouldn't load. It just said CD Error. In fact, I asked him specifically if the cd/dvd player worked, and here was his reply "The DVD system works well, transmits through the radio or wireless headsets. The DVD sticks, my kids know how to retrieve, my oldest says you just have to grab it when you hit eject or it sucks it back in." He didn't mention the cd player. I assumed that meant it worked fine. I was wrong. |

But, I do have some good news.
We had a storm two weeks ago with 130mph winds that did a lot of damage to my roof. I had shingles all over my yard after that storm blew through. Since the shingles were blown off, rain seeped in and did some interior damage too. I filed an insurance claim two weeks ago and have been patiently waiting for them to do an inspection. The inspector finally came out today and looked things over. I'm going to get enough money to get a new roof! WooHoo! So it's been a crazy -- stressful -- day for me. |

Sorry man. Hopefully any repairs won't be too expensive

So... you can't take the car back to the guy and tell him he sold you a lemon?

Isn't there some buyer's remorse law that could apply?

Well, this morning I talked to the guy who sold me the car, and he swears that the engine has never had any problems. He says that before giving it to me last
night, he washed it, and it's possible he squirted some water up in the engine. Then he said he hasn't really driven in it 7 months, so maybe the air
filter needs to be changed.
Well, I'll drive it some more today and see if it continues to give me trouble. He did admit, though, that the cd player is very "fussy." It flat out doesn't work, but that's a fairly inexpensive fix. |

I've started deleting the spam posts we've been getting with increasing frequency.

Me too. There's discussion about it down in the Restroom... that somehow turned into cock worship.

I paid for the entire year of this board and I'm still locked out of the restroom! It's because I'm black, isn't it?

I'm sorry Oz. I hope things turn out well car wise. Yay on the new roof!

We have a nest of baby birds living under our deck again. If you'll recall, it did not end well last time.

Oz, that sucks... hopefully all those issues are temporary. If you're at all mechanically inclined to self-install, AutoZone has car AM/FM/CD units
starting at about $30.
