10 hours until my plane leaves. Time to go to bed.

I met up with a few of my NutriSystem buddies today and one of them was in need of a house/pet sitter for 2 weeks. I volunteered my unemployed kid only to find
out she'll be paying him $300 for living there, eating her food, playing with the cats and wiping some antibiotic gel in one cat's ear twice a day. She
has a 52" flat screen TV with every channel known to mankind. Dang. I wish I'd volunteered myself!

I think Buff quit to pursue a career as a joke writer for the Oscars.

Buff, this makes me sad. More details, please.

It's a long, but not really sad, story. I've signed both a nondisparagement agreement and a confidentiality agreement, so I'll post something to
EWP a little later that will give what information I can. It will be, among other things, a short treatise on law firm economics.
In the meantime, I'm enjoying time off! Going to Florida next week for my nephew's sixth birthday, going to the beach in August, etc., and spending lots of time planning the Commitzvah. Free time for Buff = vendors who are going to be sick of me. If any of you need a lawyer, however, feel free to hire me. |

Well, at the very least it seems you're in good spirits about it. That's a start.

Buff, sorry about the loss of job, but at least you have a great attitude about it. Enjoy your unexpected gift of time to play.

A confidentiality agreement when leaving a job? If it wasn't your choice and you refused to sign, what could they do - fire you?

Not pay a really good severance package.

I was just in a reality-show pilot for CMT. Had to sign a release form and everythang. My scene was pretty dull, so I'm sure it won't make the final
cut.

What was the show about?

They're following some professional bull riders around, contrasting the 'innocent, straight-laced' guys with the party-hound types. We had a couple
of the 'clean' guys, both originally from this part of the state, here for an on-air interview, and the CMT folks shot some behind the scenes stuff
while they were all in the building (mostly unstaged... with some things a little less unstaged than others). It was a little surreal when we had a news
photographer shooting CMT photographers shooting us shooting a newscast.

Hey what's the deal with your relationship dramas?
|

Happily drama-free since September. The Ex is no longer ex, we basically rebuilt the relationship from scratch, cleared up a lot of lingering issues and
problems, and it's stronger than it ever was the first time around. We haven't set a date yet but she moved back in months ago and we're narrowing
in on rings. I have little-to-no contact with most of the other cast members anymore, but I do know two of them are both getting married later this year (not
to each other, but that'd make for a nice sweeps crossover with the Logo channel).
