Yeah, I am definitely surprised it didn't happen sooner. They took my debit card and 400 lempiras (about $20). The card was canceled by the bank when they
tried to use it "suspiciously" so they weren't even able to charge anything to it. I got off really easy. A couple of my friends got their
laptops stolen from the same hotel room. They didn't get off so easily.
Edited to clarify: of course I called the bank as soon as I got back to the hotel and saw that my card had been stolen, but by that point they had already noticed the weird charges and had canceled it. |

My grandfather's technically common law wife has died. My grandfather is a raging alcoholic and she chained smoked and didn't control her diabetes and

And now I just found out that Grandma Thomay just died. She wasn't actually my grandmother, but she was grandmother to 6 of my 10 cousins (on my
mother's side who happen to be double cousins) so in many ways I grew up with her as "grandma". This one I'm crying about and wishing there
was some way my pregnant butt could go to the funeral in Ohio.

As someone who's suffered from an annoying little cough, and who has a son who gets a cough during allergy season, that is a perfectly equal and valid

It's 1am. My husband has been awake for the last 2 hours after getting home from class doing work. Now he's on an ambulance call (he's studying to be am EMS in addition to his current work and is far enough along to have his pager and be able to help on calls).... He is watching the kids by himself most of tomorrow. I've done that whole sleepless watch the kids thing. I've watched hubby when he's sleepless. This does not bode well for him. Hopefully he'll cancel his morning Bible Study and take a nap while our youngest does. |
