The excitement was such that I fell asleep at about 8 pm (in my defense, I had two glasses of champagne while hauling boxes). They should pick him up at 2:30.
I've got meetings this morning, and will likely be able to sneak out for a bit this afternoon. I've more or less put myself at their disposal for the

Well... there was a lot more in the dream. You eventually fell and smashed your face against a tree stump, then somehow turned into a dog when we rushed you to
the hospital. There were tears and puss and all sorts of ooze coming out of your eyes.
All that seemed really unpleasant to recount, so I figured "stye in the eye" would about cover it. |

I get to plan a baby shower with someone who has more money than god. Or in other words, I get to throw a ridiculously overboard party at my friend's
awesome house. Thus far, it is an afternoon luncheon/cocktail party. Since the new mother adopted, and thus isn't breast feeding, we get to drink!

I am going to be an aunt again! Jane and Greg pick up Ella-Anne (Gabriella-Anne Kristen Castanias) in Texas at the end of the week. In keeping with their
tradition, her middle name is her birth mother's name.
When I was younger, my grandmother Ella used to tell me that she would haunt me if I ever named a child after her. Ella-Anne and Alex are very lucky to have such a wonderful woman haunting them. |
